Fukuoka SoftBank HAWKS Corp. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, President: Yoshimitsu Goto) and PayPay Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda City, President and Representative Director: Ichiro Nakayama) (“PayPay Co.”, “we”, “our” or “us”) jointly promote cashless payments at the Fukuoka YAHUOKU! DOME (“the YAHUOKU! DOME”).
On January 29, the two companies concluded the Team Sponsorship Agreement for fiscal 2019. With their baseball caps showing the PayPay logo, Fukuoka SoftBank HAWKS (“HAWKS”) players will play regular games, excluding interleague away games of the Pacific League and the Central League, and the Climax Series to win the league championship and the Japan Series title for the third straight year.

Smartphone payment service “PayPay” is available at the YAHUOKU! DOME, starting March 2 when the 2019 season’s exhibition match takes place. We are developing an environment where you can enjoy watching baseball games without cash. Cashless payments are welcomed at food stalls, drink stands, restaurants, merchandise outlets, Super Box (luxury sports boxes) and ticket offices. You can also buy drinks sold by stadium vendors (so-called HAWKS girls) with PayPay. Starting February 1, you can use PayPay at the baseball team’s spring-season camp site of Ikimemori Sports Park in Miyazaki City. Visit the Hawks Village and enjoy cashless experience at booths selling HAWKS collectibles and other merchandise(*1), food stalls and drink stands. The two companies make “PayPay” play the leading role in giving a strong boost to cashless payments at the YAHUOKU! DOME, in joint efforts to achieve a 100% cashless stadium down the road.
Marking the introduction of PayPay at the baseball stadium, PayPay Co. will launch a campaign limited to the YAHUOKU! DOME on March 2. Details on the upcoming campaign will be announced as soon as it is finalized.
