PayPay Corporation, a joint venture company of SoftBank Corp. and Yahoo Japan Corporation makes a fee necessary for depositing sales proceeds from merchants into financial institutions except JNB free of charge until September 30, 2020. The period in which the fee for depositing money into financial institutions except JNB will be extended to until June 30, 2020 (*1), in line with the period of the “Cashless Consumer Return Business” promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). Note that JNB will continue to be available free of charge.
In addition, with respect to merchants that set JNB as a deposit destination, money is supposed to be deposited on the day following a sales date only if an accumulated sales amount is 10,000 yen or more. However, from October 1, 2019, money will be automatically deposited on the day following a sales date, regardless of an accumulated sales amount. Note that a fee for depositing money in this case is also free of charge.
* From July 1, 2020, a fee for depositing money to financial institions other than JNB will be 105 yen (tax included).
