PayPay Corporation, a joint venture of SoftBank Group Corp., SoftBank Corp. and Yahoo Japan Corporation, started
providing “PayPay Bill Payment Services.” Users will be able to pay utilities (by payment slips) such as electricity and
gas, on the spot by scanning printed barcodes, as of today.
PayPay will correspond to (*1) bill payments for Tokyo Gas Co., Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings,
Incorporated, Bureau of Waterworks Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Hiroshima Gas Co., Ltd., The Chugoku Electric Power
Co., Inc. and Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. starting today. On September 30th, the service is scheduled to be
available for utility payments of approximately 300 public entities and business operators(*2) currently supported by
Yahoo! Money. PayPay is scheduled to further expand its support October onward. Users will be able to pay public utility
and other bills 24 hours from home and there would be no need to go out and withdraw cash for payments. This will save
time and money on withdrawal fees. It would also prevent users from missing payments. Furthermore, 0.5% of their
payments will be granted as PayPay Bonus when using the PayPay Bill Payment Services(*3).

payments for all retailers, service providers, and users, aiming to realize a society which anyone can enjoy shopping
without cash anywhere in Japan.

Easy 3 steps of 1. Tap “Scan” in app home screen, 2. Scan the barcode in the bill payment, 3. Confirm payment amount and tap “Pay.”
■PayPay’s main features
PayPay provides payments by pre-charged e-money(PayPay Balance) and credit cards of users’ choice for payments at PayPay member merchants and online services. PayPay Balance can be recharged from bank accounts through online transactions, and also at the Seven Bank ATMs. PayPay provides users with full access to a wide variety of features i.e., send/receive PayPay Balance (PayPay Money Lite) to/from other users and Warikan (bill-splitting) feature for dining out with a group.
