Hanshin Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (“Hanshin Electric”) (Head office: Fukushima-ku, Osaka-city, President and Representative Director: Masao Shin) and PayPay Corporation (“we”) (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President & Representative Director, CEO, Corporate Officer: Ichiro Nakayama) will introduce the QR code payment service, PayPay, at Hanshin Koshien Stadium (Koshien Stadium) operated by Hanshin Electric. PayPay will become available from an exhibition game (game against Hiroshima Toyo Carp) on March 4, 2020 (Wednesday). In addition, PayPay” is the first QR code payment service to be introduced at Koshien Stadium.

Accepting payments by PayPay will start from sales staff dealing with customers at spectators’ seats (vendors). The introduction of PayPay is expected to bring advantages; for example, users can reduce time and effort, such as preparing cash from their wallets and receiving their change when shopping at box seats, while vendors can shorten time for receiving cash payments. In the future, we will strive so that all the stores that sell food and beverages in Koshien Stadium will start to accept the payment service using PayPay(*) sequentially and thus users will be able to enjoy shopping before and during watching games more conveniently and smoothly.

Also, in line with the introduction of PayPay to Koshien Stadium, we are planning to run a campaign that allows users to receive benefits for shopping at Koshien Stadium. The timing and details of the campaign will be announced as soon as they are decided.
