PayPay Corporation, a joint venture of SoftBank Group Corp., SoftBank Corp., and Yahoo Japan Corporation will be providing financial support in the amount of JPY 17,094,000 to Peace Winds Japan (PWJ), a specified non-profit corporation that provides assistance towards recovering from the Great East Japan Earthquake and preventing the spread of the coronavirus.
The revenue from support goods (“Kisekae”) purchased by users during the 11th~31st of March 2020 through smartphone payment service “PayPay” will be provided as support to PWJ, minus consumption tax. During this period, JPY 18,803,400 was raised from 62,678 users, of which the JPY 1,709,400 remaining after deducting consumption tax will be provided as support.​ ​
