PayPay Corporation, a joint venture between Softbank Group Corp., Softbank Corp., and Yahoo Japan Corporation, will start accepting applications from users today for the “Myna Point Program”, to be implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications as of September 1, 2020.
The “Myna Point Program” will run for seven months from September 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021 with the aim to stimulate consumption, promote the use of My Number Card, and establish a public-private cashless payment infrastructure. To encourage more users to register for this program, users will be granted premium points and other benefits that can be used for cashless payment services if he/she obtains his/her own My Number Card and completes the prescribed procedures. Only one cashless payment service provider can be registered per person for the “Myna Point Program”. Users who select “PayPay” will receive a PayPay bonus* of 25% of the amount topped-up or spent using PayPay. (The maximum grant is JPY 5,000 / period)
Moreover, users registering with PayPay will be eligible to enter into the “Myna Point PayPay Jumbo” lottery where they will have a chance to win a PayPay bonus worth up to JPY 1 M!

* It is possible to register at the “Myna Point application desk” at SoftBank shops and Y!mobile shops nationwide for users whose smartphones are not supported by the “Myna Point App”.
How to register through the PayPay app?
- （1）Start the PayPay app and tap “My Number”
- （2）Tap “Apply through PayPay App”.
- （3）Tap either “Top up” or “Payments” and then “Agree to the above and register”.
- （4）Go to the external entry form (My Number Card app) and scan the My Number Card. Enter the “user verification password (four digits)” registered with the My Number Card.
- （5）Confirm the details on the confirmation screen, and if there is no problem, tap “Agree & Apply” to complete the application.

*The topped up PayPay balance is called PayPay Money Lite. The Money Lite feature can send PayPay balances and split bills with friends, but cannot be cashed out.
When will it be granted?

For payments: 30 days after the date of payment
*The bonus will be granted against topups or payments made on or after September 1, 2020. For topups, the amount up to JPY 20,000 topped up on or after September 1, 2020 will be subject to the program, for which PayPay Money Lite will be granted as cashback provided it is within the limit.
To celebrate the launch of the “Myna Point Program”, PayPay is also launching the “Myna Point PayPay Jumbo” campaign. Users who register to the “Myna Point Program” with “PayPay” by August 31, 2020 will have a chance to win a PayPay bonus worth up to JPY 1 M in a lottery, after completing the registration. The prize winner will receive a prize around around September 15, 2020.
The first prize winner will receive a prize worth JPY 1M, second prize winner will receive JPY 50,000, and third prize winner will receive JPY 5,000. The winner of the 4th prize will receive a PayPay bonus worth JPY 500. Users can check whether they have won on the PayPay app screen.
