PayPay Corporation (hereinafter PayPay), Yahoo Japan Corporation (hereinafter Yahoo! JAPAN) and SoftBank Corp. (hereinafter SoftBank) are pleased to announce the launch of a major campaign “Summer PayPay Matsuri” that will be held between July 1 and July 25, 2021 to provide great deals at eligible merchants throughout the country including online shops.
The “Summer PayPay Matsuri” will be held as a sequel to the “Cho PayPay Matsuri” held in October & November last year followed by another in March, receiving wide acclaim from users and merchants. This time too, users will receive a higher PayPay Bonus than usual when shopping at merchants and online stores across Japan, making their summer shopping experience even more enjoyable.
PayPay will also hold a “Summer PayPay Jumbo (Online)” campaign from July 1 to July 25, during which users paying with “PayPay” at eligible online merchants will have a chance to win a PayPay Bonus of up to 100% of the full purchase amount (grant limit: 100,000 yen worth in total during the campaign period and per payment). Additionally, several other campaigns, such as the “Summer PayPay & Seven-Eleven App Campaign” will be held in parallel, providing an extra PayPay Bonus based on the purchase amount at various major merchants and online stores. On top of that, a wide variety of “PayPay Coupons” will also be distributed during the “Summer PayPay Matsuri.” “PayPay Coupons” are one of PayPay’s popular features that allow users to obtain a coupon in the PayPay app and then automatically get a discount when paying with “PayPay” at eligible stores. Coupons will be added and updated from time to time – click the “PayPay Coupons” icon in the app for details.
Before the campaign begins on July 1, Yahoo! JAPAN will launch some special offers and campaigns on “PayPay Mall” and “Yahoo! JAPAN Shopping” websites between June 23 and July 25. On July 25, which is a “Sunday with a 5” users will have a chance to receive an additional PayPay Bonus and other benefits.
