PayPay Corporation (hereinafter PayPay), Yahoo Japan Corporation (hereinafter Yahoo! JAPAN), and SoftBank Corp. will be hosting a large-scale campaign, “Cho PayPay Matsuri,” offering great shopping deals at PayPay merchants across the country as well as online stores between October 18 and November 28, 2021.
The previous “Cho PayPay Matsuri” was held back in March 2021 and has proven to be extremely popular amongst users thanks to the increased PayPay Bonuses they received through payments made using “PayPay” at merchants nationwide and online stores. The upcoming campaign will also offer deals when shopping and using services provided within the PayPay app and by “Yahoo! JAPAN.”
PayPay will be hosting campaigns offering great deals including but not limited to the “Cho PayPay Matsuri: PayPay Coupons,” “Merchant (Online Store) Campaigns,” and “Cho PayPay Matsuri: Super Deals with PayPay Pickup at Applicable Stores.”
Yahoo! JAPAN will be hosting campaigns offering great deals through various Yahoo! JAPAN services* such as “PayPay Mall” and “Yahoo! JAPAN Shopping” during the period of the “Cho PayPay Matsuri” between October 18 and November 28.

Furthermore, to remain close to both merchants and users, PayPay is hosting the “Machi-no PayPay Matsuri” to help boost local economies across Japan, given the significant blow they were dealt by COVID-19. As part of “Machi-no PayPay Matsuri,” the “Support your local stores! Up to 1,000 yen worth, 20% back” campaign will offer great shopping deals at merchants nationwide who register for the campaign*, and the “Machi-no PayPay Matsuri: Refer-a-Friend” campaign will offer a PayPay Bonus worth up to 500 yen to both the user who introduces “PayPay” to a friend or family member who has not yet used it as well as the person who is referred, once the conditions of the campaign are satisfied. Both campaigns will be available until November 28, 2021. There will also be a “Machi-no PayPay Matsuri: Signup Benefits” campaign which will be available until October 31 offering a PayPay Bonus worth 500 yen to those who sign up to “PayPay” and complete the application to verify their identity (eKYC).

* There are four types of PayPay balance in “PayPay”: PayPay Money, PayPay Money Lite, PayPay Bonus and PayPay Bonus Lite. PayPay Money can be used to pay for partner services and merchants if it is within the amount deposited into the PayPay account opened after completing an identity verification process.
