Large-Scale Campaign With Great Savings, “Celebrating 50 Million Users! Cho PayPay Matsuri,” Starts on October 17

PayPay Corporation (hereinafter PayPay), Yahoo Japan Corporation (hereinafter Yahoo! JAPAN), and SoftBank Corp. will launch “Celebrating 50 Million Users! Cho PayPay Matsuri (Super PayPay Festival)” from October 17 to December 28, 2022 to commemorate the number of registered “PayPay” users exceeding 50 million (as of August 18, 2022)*1. This is a large-scale campaign that allows savings on purchases at PayPay merchants nationwide and online stores.

The Natsu no PayPay Matsuri (Summer PayPay Festival), a large-scale campaign held from July to August 2022, was very well received by PayPay users, who were granted more PayPay Points than usual when paying with “PayPay” at merchants, online stores, and services nationwide. Users can again enjoy savings on purchases in this Cho PayPay Matsuri using the services provided in the PayPay app and on “Yahoo! JAPAN.”

PayPay is holding the “Chance to Win All Over Japan! Super PayPay Jumbo,” in which payments with PayPay Atobarai (Pay Later) by users whose identities have been verified will initiate up to three draws in a lottery, as well as the “Cho PayPay Matsuri: PayPay Coupons,” along many other campaigns. The applicable merchants and details for each campaign will be announced on the campaign page at a later date.

During the Cho PayPay Matsuri, Yahoo! JAPAN will be giving special offers on its services, including “Yahoo! JAPAN Shopping.” The details of each campaign will be announced on a later date.

For SoftBank smartphone users*2, SoftBank offers Super PayPay Coupons*4 that will return up to half the paid amount*3 in PayPay Points when they pay with “PayPay” at applicable merchants. During the Cho PayPay Matsuri, SoftBank will continue to offer Super PayPay Coupons that can be used at various merchants to save on purchases. Applicable merchants will be announced on a later date. As part of the Cho PayPay Matsuri campaigns, Yahoo! JAPAN will also offer exclusive PayPay Coupons to Yahoo! JAPAN Premium Members which SoftBank and Y!mobile smartphone users*5 can also take advantage of. Details will be announced on a later date.

The coupon will not be applied to payments made using the Alipay (支付宝) app or LINE Pay, even if payments are made by scanning the PayPay QR code (PayPay usage benefits will also not be applied). The PayPay Points will be granted 30 days from the day following the payment date. PayPay Points can also be used at the official PayPay store or PayPay Card store. It cannot be cashed out or transferred.
*4. Please make sure to check the applicable stores on the coupon acquisition screen before using it. Confirm with the store the use of coupons for takeout. Campaign content:
During the campaign period, a lottery will be held for payments made with the designated payment method using “PayPay” at participating stores, including online merchants. In this lottery, each person has the chance to win one of the three prizes once every four draws. First prize winners will receive PayPay Points of up to 100% of the total payment amount, second prize winners up to 5%, and third prize winners up to 0.5%.

In addition, depending on payment methods and other conditions, the number of draws will be added for a higher chance to win.
