PayPay Card Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & Representative Director: Tomoaki Tanida; hereinafter “PayPay Card”) will launch the “Split 3 Million Points with Apple Pay!” campaign (hereinafter “Campaign”) in early September 2024. During the Campaign period,*1 users who pay 3,000 yen or more (including tax) with PayPay Card (including PayPay Card Gold) via Apple Pay will receive a share from a pool of 3 million PayPay Points.*2

*1. The Campaign period will be announced at a later date on the PayPay Card website (https://www.paypay-card.co.jp/info/information/).
*2. PayPay Points cannot be cashed out or transferred. PayPay Points earned can also be used at the official PayPay and PayPay Card stores.

Going forward, PayPay Card will continue working to enable more users to use Apple Pay.

*3. Comparison of actual monthly Apple Pay setup counts between April 2024, the final month prior to the launch of the Apple Pay setup feature in the PayPay app, and July 2024, the most recent full month.

■ About Apple Pay

Apple Pay is a feature that enables payment using an iPhone or Apple Watch by setting up a compatible credit card.
By adding a card to the Wallet app pre-installed on iOS, users can immediately use it at merchants that accept QUICPay™ or contactless credit card payments. In-store payments are supported, as are online payments via iPad and Mac computers. For in-app and online payments, users do not need to enter their card number if they select “Apple Pay.”

■ Benefits of Setting Up PayPay Card on Apple Pay

By setting up PayPay Card on Apple Pay, payments can be made using an iPhone or other device at stores that support QUICPay or contactless credit card payments.
This initiative increases the number of stores where convenient, wallet-free payments can be made, including stores that do not support the cashless payment service “PayPay,” where users previously needed to take out their wallets to pay.

*Use of PayPay Card via Apple Pay is also eligible for PayPay STEP, just as with use of a physical card and PayPay Credit.

■ Setting Up PayPay Card on Apple Pay

<Steps for setting up from the PayPay app>

*Setting up Apple Pay from the PayPay app is available only to users who have already registered PayPay Card in the PayPay app.
Users who have not done so can set up their cards only from the iOS Wallet app.
