PayPay Corporation (hereinafter “PayPay”) and PayPay Card Corporation (hereinafter “PayPay Card”) are pleased to announce that Cho PayPay Matsuri (Super PayPay Festival), a large-scale promotional campaign through which customers can enjoy savings on dining and shopping when they use the PayPay app or PayPay Card (including PayPay Card Gold) at stores, online stores, and other merchants, will begin on December 1, 2025.
■ PayPay Scratch Lottery

*The official name of the campaign is “PayPay Scratch Lottery (December 2025).”
Users eligible for the campaign are those who have completed identity verification (eKYC), now numbering more than 38 million.*1 When a tax-inclusive amount of 200 yen or more is paid using PayPay or PayPay Card at eligible merchants (including credit card merchants),*2 a scratch card will be issued, and, depending on the payment method and conditions, one of three prizes will be awarded. Depending on the payment method, scratch cards of different colors will appear on the post-payment screen, and winners of the first prize will receive PayPay Points up to the full payment amount (100%).*3
When payment is made on the red screen using PayPay Balance (including payments made with the PayPay Balance Card), there is a one-in-four chance of winning one of the three prizes. When payment is made on the blue screen using PayPay Credit or PayPay Card, the winning probability for the three prizes increases to one in two. Payments made with PayPay Card include not only payments with the physical card but also payments made with PayPay Card set up in Apple Pay and Google Pay, all of which are eligible for the campaign. In addition, for payments made with PayPay Card, the scratch card can be scratched off immediately from the payment notification received in the PayPay app. Scratch cards are also issued for transactions made overseas.*4 Note that the winning probabilities indicate the probability for each scratch card, and they do not guarantee winning in accordance with the stated probabilities.

*2. With respect to payment methods available in PayPay, PayPay Balance (including payments made with the PayPay Balance Card), PayPay Credit, and PayPay Points are eligible. PayPay Debit is not eligible. The PayPay Balance Card can only be used with web services that accept Visa cards. In the case of a payment combined with PayPay Points, the winning probability will be the same as that of PayPay Balance or PayPay Credit, depending on which payment method is used. In the case of a payment combined with PayPay Gift Voucher, only the portion other than PayPay Gift Voucher is eligible, and the winning probability will be the same as that of the payment method used in combination. In addition, to participate in this campaign when paying with PayPay Credit or PayPay Card, prior setup of PayPay Credit in the PayPay app is required.
*3. PayPay Scratch Lottery has a grant cap of 100,000 PayPay Points per scratch card and per period in total across PayPay and PayPay Card (aggregated across participating merchants). Points will be granted at a later date. Withdrawal and transfer are not permitted. PayPay Points can also be used at the PayPay official store, and the PayPay Card official store. The scratch card is valid until 11:59 p.m. on the 30th day after it is obtained.
*4. Scratch cards are issued for payments with PayPay Card outside Japan as well, but they cannot be scratched off outside Japan.

■ “Cho PayPay Matsuri: PayPay Coupons”

・Details: During Cho PayPay Matsuri, a variety of participating merchants are scheduled to issue PayPay Coupons. Details of the eligible merchants will be announced later on the campaign page. PayPay Coupon is a service that automatically adds extra points to users when they acquire coupons in the PayPay app and make payments at eligible stores using PayPay. ■ “PayPay Credit Referral Program”
・Period: December 1 – 28, 2025
・Details: Users who meet the following conditions will be granted 500 PayPay Points each.
1. The user referring sends a referral code to a friend.
2. The referred person, after using the referral code, newly applies for a PayPay Card, and newly sets up PayPay Credit.
3. The referred person makes one transaction using PayPay Credit or PayPay Card within the program period.
*Conditions 1 and 2 must be completed between December 1 and December 28.
*For condition 3, only payments made during the program period, which are shown as “Payment Completed” in the transaction history no later than 30 days after the program ends are eligible.
