Mutual Exchange of PayPay Points and V Points Starts on March 24

- Enhancing the flexibility and convenience of points by leveraging the strengths of each service -

Sumitomo Mitsui Card Co., Ltd. (Head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Yukihiko Onishi; hereinafter “Sumitomo Mitsui Card”), CCC MK HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. (Head office: Yokohama, Kanagawa; Representative Director, President and CEO: Yasunori Takahashi; hereinafter “CCCMKHD”), and PayPay Corporation (Head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & Representative Director, CEO, Corporate Officer: Ichiro Nakayama; hereinafter “PayPay”) are pleased to announce that, starting on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, PayPay Points and V Points can be mutually exchanged.

By linking a V Member account from the PayPay app, points in the two point programs will be exchangeable at parity (1 PayPay Point = 1 V Point). The strengths of both point services will be leveraged through this initiative, enabling users to utilize points more flexibly and freely according to their lifestyles and payment scenarios. This will be the first time that PayPay Points are available for exchange with another company’s points.

The value of PayPay Points and V Points will be further enhanced by integrating “PayPay,” which has more than 73 million users*1 and holds the top share in Japan’s code payment market, and “Sumitomo Mitsui Card,” which leads Japan’s cashless industry. This will also enable the use of both points across a wide range of payment events.

*1. As of March 2026.

With cashless payments becoming more popular, points are now valued not only for the convenience in accumulating them, but also for the ability to use them in ways that suit each individual. This mutual exchange between point services is an initiative that responds to such demands.

<Overview of the point exchange programme>

By downloading the PayPay app*2 and linking PayPay and V Member accounts, users can mutually exchange the PayPay Points and V Points they hold. Although exchanging the points must be done in the PayPay app, the point-exchange screen can also be viewed from the Mobile V Card, V Points app, Sumitomo Mitsui Card’s Vpass app, V Points Pay app, and Sumitomo Mitsui Bank app. Points are exchanged at an equal rate of 1 point to 1 point, exchanges can be made once per day with a minimum of 100 points per exchange, and the monthly exchange limit is 30,000 points. V Points obtained by exchanging PayPay Points will have a limited validity period and restrictions on their use. They cannot be used for exchanging with other companies’ points or for V Prize Redemption. They can be used for V Point Investments, topping up the V Points Pay app, repayment of Sumitomo Mitsui Card payments, remittance fees, and certain V Point partners and services. The available V Point partners and services are scheduled to be expanded.*3 Where the points can be used and validity periods for each point service is provided in the table below.

*2. The PayPay app must be updated to the latest version (5.42.0) or above. However, it may take some time for the app to be updated. If the version for this feature does not appear, please try again after some time. The version currently installed can be checked from the “Account” screen in the PayPay app, under “Version” at the bottom of the Account page.
*3. Details will be announced on the V Point website.
