MATSUYA FOODS’ Bento Reservation Service, “Matsuben Net,” Now Available on PayPay Mini App

- Customers can now order and pay for bentos through the PayPay app at over 1,100 MATSUYA FOODS stores nationwide! The "Cho PayPay Matsuri: Super Offer With Matsuben Net Campaign" will begin on October 18 -

PayPay Corporation (hereinafter “PayPay”), a joint venture of SoftBank Group Corp., SoftBank Corp., and Yahoo Japan Corporation, has launched the “Matsuben Net Mini App,” (*1) a mini app that allows easy use of the “Matsuben Net” bento reservation service provided by MATSUYA FOODS HOLDINGS CO., LTD. (hereinafter “Matsuya Foods”) from within the “PayPay” cashless payment service.

With the rollout of the “Matsuben Net Mini App,” users can now order and pay for bentos (*2) from the Matsuya Foods icon in the “PayPay” app and pick up their meals at over 1,100 Matsuya Foods stores throughout Japan. Normally, an account registration is required to use “Matsuben Net,” but the “Matsuben Net Mini App” can be used by anyone who has completed their PayPay account registration (*3), making it even simpler for users to order their bentos (*4).​​​​​​

*1. A “mini app” is a feature that allows users to make reservations and payments smoothly for services and products provided by PayPay Corporation’s partner companies through the “PayPay” app.

*2. Payments can only be made with PayPay Balance, and cannot be made with credit cards, including the PayPay Credit Card, or with PayPay Pay Later. PayPay coupons cannot be used for payments on mini apps.

*3. The service is available to users who have agreed to provide Matsuya Foods with the information necessary to utilize the service from the user information registered in PayPay at the time of first use. In addition, to place an order, users are required to enter their phone number on the “Matsuya Net Mini App.”

*4. “Matsuben points” granted in the regular “Matsuben Net” are not granted in the “Matsuben Net Mini App.”

In addition, to commemorate the launch of the mini app, the large-scale “Cho PayPay Matsuri (Super PayPay Festival)” campaign will be held from October 18, 2021, offering reward opportunities for shopping at PayPay merchants and online stores nationwide. During this festival, anyone who makes use of “Matsuben Net” or the “Matsuben Net Mini App” will be granted a PayPay Bonus of up to 10% of the amount paid (grant limit: 1,000 yen worth/transaction, 5,000 yen worth/period). Campaign details:

During the campaign period, a PayPay Bonus of up to 10% will be granted to those who use PayPay to pay on “Matsuben Net” or the “Matsuben Net Mini App.” Y!mobile smartphone users and Yahoo! JAPAN Premium members will receive a PayPay Bonus of up to 13%. Furthermore, SoftBank smartphone users will be given a PayPay Bonus of up to 20%.

Grant limit:

Grant limit per transaction: 1,000 yen worth
Total grant limit during the period: 5,000 yen worth

Grant date:

30 days from the day following the payment date.

※ In principle, the PayPay Bonus will be granted 30 days from the day following the payment date, but the grant may be delayed due to the user’s usage situation or for system reasons.

* The PayPay Bonus can be used at any official PayPay store or PayPay Card store. It cannot be cashed out or transferred.

*If a campaign reward is applied, and there are other campaigns held simultaneously with general rewards which also apply, all of them will be combined. However, the maximum PayPay Bonus amount that can be granted for a single payment is 66.5% of the total amount (if the total amount exceeds 66.5%, the grant awarded through this campaign will be reduced). * There are four types of PayPay balance in “PayPay”: PayPay Money, PayPay Money Lite, PayPay Bonus and PayPay Bonus Lite. PayPay Money can be used to pay for partner services and merchants if it is within the amount deposited into the PayPay account opened after completing an identity verification process. It can also be used for sending and receiving money between PayPay users free of charge. PayPay Money can also be cashed out to a designated bank account (no withdrawal fee if using PayPay Bank). The legal nature of this is an electromagnetic record which can be used to pay for goods and other services, and can be remitted or cashed out, issued by the Company who is a Fund Transfer Operator registered under Article 37 of the Payment Services Act.
