In order to improve convenience for users and help merchants increase their sales, PayPay Corporation will provide from March 1, 2022 a feature that allows small and medium-sized merchants that have subscribed to the PayPay My Store Lite Plan to easily issue their own stamp cards.

PayPay Stamp Card is a feature that can be used by merchants who subscribe to the PayPay My Store Lite Plan, with which merchants can issue their own PayPay Stamp Card. If users pay with “PayPay*1” at stamp card issuing merchants, they will automatically obtain the merchant’s stamp card and stamps*2. Depending on the number of stamps accumulated, users can receive a reward from the merchant.

The PayPay Stamp Card feature has been available at major chain stores, such as BOOKOFF and Toranoana since December 2021. However, from March 1, small and medium-sized stores in town that subscribe to the PayPay My Store Lite Plan will also be able to issue stamp cards from PayPay My Store, with which stores can distribute their information. This is a service provided in PayPay for Business, a payment management tool for merchants*3.

For users, shopping will be more convenient and enjoyable, as they no longer have to carry around multiple stamp cards or worry about forgetting to take them out of their wallets, since local stores will issue the PayPay Stamp Card and stamps are automatically given after making a payment.

In addition, by issuing PayPay Stamp Cards, merchants can market their goods to the more than 45 million “PayPay” users*4 and expect customers to return to their stores. Furthermore, merchants can reduce paper and printing costs for issuing stamp cards, as well as cut operational costs at the time of checkout since stamp cards and stamps will be automatically granted to users who pay with “PayPay.” This will lead to making shopping more efficient for both employees and customers. Moreover, merchants can configure their own stamp conditions and rewards*5, and conduct detailed analyses after the stamp cards are issued, which may lead to the implementation of efficient and effective measures.
