Give Support with “PayPay”

- Use our smartphone payment service "PayPay" to purchase our support product and provide help! -

 PayPay Corporation, a joint venture of SoftBank Group Corp., SoftBank Corp., and Yahoo Japan Corporation will be running an initiative to aid the activities of Peace Winds Japan (PWJ), a specified non-profit corporation that provides assistance towards the Great East Japan Earthquake reconstruction and emergency assistance in regard to the spread of the novel corona virus. For any purchase of our support product (“kisekae”) using smartphone payment service “PayPay” during the 11th to the 31st of March, 2020, PayPay will pass on the full amount to the NPO after deducting consumption tax.

 The support product (“kisekae”) will be sold for 300 yen (including a consumption tax). Users can purchase the product from the dedicated support page accessible from the PayPay website and use the “kisekae” within the PayPay app.

 Via PayPay, the proceeds will be used as a fund to assist Peace Winds Japan (PWJ), a specified non-profit corporation. Payment of the consumption tax to the government will be done via PayPay.

Content of our support:

PayPay Corporation will pass on the full amount of sales proceeds from the support product to PWJ. PWJ is a specified non-profit corporation that provides assistance towards the Great East Japan Earthquake reconstruction and emergency assistance in regard to the spread of the novel corona virus. The support will be towards expenses incurred by PWJ for the dispatch of staff involved in investigations in Japan and overseas, procurement of supplies and other support activities. Out of the total amount provided to PWJ, half will be used for the assistance of the Great East Japan Earthquake reconstruction, and the rest or the emergency assistance in regard to the spread of the novel corona virus.

■ Primary Features of “PayPay”

Users are provided with the option to pay by a pre-charged PayPay balance or using credit cards at any PayPay supported merchant or online service. The availability of PayPay is rapidly increasing not only amongst major chain retailers, but also with small shops all over Japan. The PayPay balance can be topped up online from a bank account and also at Seven Bank ATMs. Various features such as “Send/Receive” PayPay balance (PayPay Money, PayPay Money Lite) and “Warkian”, convenient for group meals, are available as well.
