In addition, PayPay Bank provides loans of up to 10 million yen as early as the day of application through loan proposals and a screening process that utilize transaction data, thereby supporting merchants in securing funding smoothly.*6 PayPay will continue to work to enhance convenience for both users and merchants by providing new features and services that leverage payment transaction data.
Additionally, “PayPay” is widely used not only for payments, but also for peer-to-peer (P2P) remittances.*7 In 2025, the P2P remittance share amongst code payment providers expanded from approximately 96% in the previous year to approximately 98%,*8 and it has become firmly established as a remittance service that supports everyday money transfers, such as splitting bills among friends, allowances, and providing money for family members.
