PayPay Corporation (“PayPay”) is pleased to announce that the number of local government campaigns and gift voucher initiatives using PayPay has continued to grow steadily, surpassing a cumulative total of 1,300.*1
Since PayPay began collaborating with local governments in 2020 through the Support Your Local Town Project, numerous local governments have leveraged PayPay campaigns for initiatives aimed at promoting their communities and revitalizing local economies. The use of features and services tailored to specific measures has also expanded, including premium gift voucher programs utilizing PayPay Gift Vouchers. As of July 2026, the cumulative number of local government campaigns and initiatives involving PayPay Gift Vouchers exceeded 1,300, while the number of initiatives implemented in the first half of 2026 doubled year-on-year.*2
Through PayPay GovTech, PayPay provides solutions tailored to the needs of local governments and is progressively expanding its lineup. These solutions include Local Consumption Revitalization, which revitalizes local economies through campaigns and gift vouchers, Resident Support, which enables efficient and effective benefits and support, and Payment Method Expansion, which promotes cashless payments at local government service counters and for payment collection.
This fiscal year, PayPay launched a new analytics service, PayPay Discovery. This enables local governments to utilize statistical data held by PayPay*3 when planning initiatives, allowing them to identify issues and conduct analyses at a more advanced level.
By introducing the solutions offered through PayPay GovTech, local governments can receive support in effectively utilizing their budgets, improving the efficiency of local government operations, developing data-driven initiatives, and evaluating their effectiveness.

Campaigns that had start dates in June 2020 until the end of July 2026.
